A bodyguard working for rapper Young Thug was murdered in Southwest Atlanta on Monday. Quintavius Waters, 23, was found face down in his bed by roommate, with a apparent gunshot wound to the back of his head. (Atlanta Police Major Adam Lee III confirmed the deadly injury). The incident occurred at Waters’ home located on the 1000 block of Allegheny Street, in a neighborhood off Cascade Avenue. There were no signs of forced entry on the scene, leading police to believe that Waters knew his killer. Lee stated, “Whoever did this apparently they were invited in or they know the subject.”

One of Waters’ friends, Toboris Character, says he put too much trust into people stating, “When I first met him, he was so welcoming, letting me into his home. And I told him, ‘You can’t do that in Atlanta.’ I guess he did that to someone else, to the wrong person.” Character also revealed that Waters not only worked for Young Thug, but also as a security guard at Club Lacura on Metropolitan Parkway.

Investigators are now searching for Waters’dog, a Yorkie, and his 2001 black Ford Mustang convertible, that has an Alabama tag 3AG5624.

Young Thug has not publicly addressed the incident yet.
