Philadelphia rapper Beanie Sigel, 42, has dealt with a lot of tumultuous events in his life. He has faced troubles with his music career, legal woes, and most recently, problems with his health. Back in December, Sigel was shot in the abdomen outside of his brother-in-law’s southern New Jersey home. He was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City where he was immediately taken into surgery.
Due to injuries sustained from the shooting, doctors had to remove one of Sigel’s lungs that was riddled with bullets. Upon being released from the hospital, Sigel was transferred to Barach Institute For Rehabilitation where he spent 90 days in the facility learning how to function with one lung.
Now, almost a year later Sigel is determined to live a healthier lifestyle. The “Roc The Mic” emcee has lost a whopping 45 pounds and is almost unrecognizable. He recently uploaded a photo of himself onto Instagram with the caption, “Health is wealth 💪 I feel like a Million Bucks..🙌🙌🙌 AL’HUMDU’ALLAH.”
Unfortunately, this wasn’t Sigel’s first time being shot. Back in 2006, Sigel was shot multiple times during a robbery in Philadelphia.
