50 Cent has been in a rut every since filing for bankruptcy a couple of months ago. It’s no secret the mogul lives in a 50,000 square foot mansion in Connecticut that costs on average $10,597 a month between gas and electricity. 50 is asking the judge in his bankruptcy case to grant him permission to pay his electric, gas, trash removal, cable, internet and phone bills. Since filing Chapter 11, the judge has prohibited him from paying even the most basic bill without court approval. Hopefully the judge will give him the green light so Fif doesn’t end up sitting in the dark sweating.

The “9 Shots” rapper filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on July 13, 2015 in Connecticut. 50 claims he isn’t facing financial woes, but is simply taking necessary precautions that any smart businessperson would. He stated, “You know when you’re successful and stuff, you become a target. I don’t wanna be a bullseye. I don’t want anybody to pick me as the guy that they just come to with astronomical claims and go through all that. Walt Disney has filed bankruptcy. Donald Trump has filed bankruptcy. It means you’re reorganizing your finances, but it does stop things from moving forward that you don’t want moving forward. I gotta descent (sic) legal team. You don’t have to worry.”
