22 Savage has changed his name to Young 22.
21 Savage must be ecstatic right now. Yesterday, via Snapchat, 22 Savage announced that he is changing his name to Young 22.
The “Jumpin” rapper didn’t reveal what influenced him to ditch his old name, but it’s possible that he’s grown tired of being compared to 21 Savage. 22’s new name is already effective on all of his social media accounts.
Originally, 22 said that he would only change his name if 21 Savage could knock him out in the ring. 22 tweeted, “Who wanna see 21 get knocked out by BIG 22. If he win I’ll change my name.”
Much to 22’s dismay, 21 declined his challenge and said he had no intentions of making anyone famous, “Bitch ass niggas remind me of my baby mama, man. Y’all fuck niggas dying for attention like hoes. Get off a nigga dick!”
“I ain’t finna make none of you broke, dusty crumb chasing ass niggas famous, man. Peon peasant ass niggas. I ain’t even gonna make a nigga famous, man. If I make a nigga famous, nigga gonna sign me.”
Just last month, the “No Heart” rapper slammed 22 during one of his shows, “Shout out to all my real niggas in Baton Rouge. I know y’all didn’t raise a nigga to dick ride another nigga to get on. How you gone beef with a nigga you want to be like? Sucka.”
