As a well known celeb, DMX should know by know by now that he should be taking extra precautions when it comes to the people that he surrounds himself around. But unfortunately, over the weekend, X made a huge slip-up that almost costed him a pretty penny.
On Friday, X met a 25 year old woman at a Hollywood bar, then invited her along with a group of people back to his hotel room. It wasn’t long before the “X Gon’ Give It to Ya” rapper and his team noticed that the woman had disappeared from the room party, and had taken his $30,000 watch and a wad of cash with her. That’s when they placed a call to the cops.
Police arrived at Ayres Hotel in Costa Mesa, California at 6:44 a.m. to find DMX and the woman arguing outside. Upon searching the woman, Costa Mesa Police found X’s watch and arrested her for theft. As the woman was being handcuffed, she claimed that DMX had sexually assaulted her. However, witnesses stated that there were a lot of people in the room making it impossible for X to hook up with the woman or assault her without it being noticed, but police will still investigate the claim.
The woman has since posted bail.
