A New York City judge has issued an arrest warrant for rapper Joe Budden following a missed court date. Budden, 34, was due in court for a hearing as part of a domestic assault case. Last August, the “Pump It Up” rapper allegedly choked and beat up his ex-girlfriend, Audely Robles, 25.
Budden became enraged when his girlfriend posted photos online of herself with other men in the club. This sparked him to assault her outside of a Inwood nightclub, before driving her to his New Jersey home where the beating continued. The Love and Hip Hop star was also accused of stealing Roble’s cell phone.
He is facing robbery and assault charges. As of now, Budden, nor his lawyer have released a statement regarding the warrant.
Back in 2011, Budden’s then girlfriend, video vixen Esther Baxter claimed he brutally beat her and caused her to have a miscarriage. She filed charges, but later decided to drop them to avoid negative publicity.
