When it comes to Tyga and his 17 year old bae Kylie Jenner, we’re all tuned into their life with front row seats. But unfortunately, when it comes to his music, his fans aren’t as interested. The “Pleazer” rapper released his fourth studio album “The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty” on Spotify on June 23, 2015. While we all sat back and clowned Troy Ave for only selling 4,373 copies of his second studio album “Major Without A Deal”, Tyga didn’t even touch those numbers.
As of Wednesday morning, Soundscan revealed that the 25 year old rapper’s album only sold 2,200 copies in its first week in retail despite receiving millions of streams. (Spotify shows Tyga only racked in 4 million views.) You would think a DONDA designed cover and Kanye West as executive producer would help his sales out, but obviously not. Talk about embarrassing.
