The Hip Hop community is surely waiting for N.W.A.’s biopic movie “Straight Outta Compton” to hit theaters on August 14. So far we know that roles have been assigned for Eazy-E, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, MC Ren, DJ Yella, Arabian Prince, The D.O.C., Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, Suge Knight, Warren G, and Jimmy Iovine.
But what we weren’t aware of is that Tupac will be portrayed in the movie as well. AmeriKKKa’s Most Wanted rapper Ice Cube took to his Instagram yesterday to break the news. He posted a photo of himself with producer John Singleton and Tupac, with the caption reading “Happy Birthday to the homie Tupac. Shooting Tupac scenefor Straight Outta Compton today, the stars are aligned…”
It’s going to be interesting to see who will play Tupac and what scenes he will be involved in. After N.W.A. split, Ice Cube and Tupac developed a professional relationship, and even recorded a song together. Maybe we will see some of the business they conducted together in the film.
Either way, I’m tuning in when the movie drops, will you be buying a movie ticket?
