Wednesday afternoon, Troy Ave appeared in court where he plead not guilty to attempted murder and weapon charges for his role in the Irving Plaza shooting that left three people injured and one dead. While in court, it was announced that his bail hearing would take place on July 1.
Troy’s legal team will present a bail package at that time in hopes that the rapper will be released immediately. His attorney, Scott Leemon, stated, “Don’t forget he is a victim here. He was shot by somebody else. His bodyguard was shot by somebody else. He should be let out on bail and treated like a victim.”
Little did we all know, Troy Ave was shot twice during the shooting, resulting in two injured legs. Troy had to be wheeled into the courtroom, unable to walk on his own. According to Troy’s lawyer, his client is unable to fully recover from his injuries due to being incarcerated. Appearing emotionless, Troy managed to wave to his family and friends who filled the packed courtroom.
