Uncle Sam is looking for Toni Braxton.
It appears that Toni Braxton is majorly behind in her taxes. According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the 51 year old R&B songstress owes nearly a half a million in back taxes. The Internal Revenue Service filed their first lien against Braxton on December 4. Apparently, Braxton owes a total of $340,252.99 in back taxes for 2017.
Just a few days later, the State of California Franchise Tax Board hit her with their very own tax lien of over $116,154.64. Braxton now owes a grand total of $456,407.63 in back taxes. The IRS and State of California have warned Braxton that if she doesn’t pay up they will begin the process of seizing her property.
Last year, the IRS and the State of California and filed tax liens against her, claiming she owed a total of $780,808.29 in back taxes.
In other news, Braxton and Birdman recently announced their breakup via social media on New Year’s Day.
