XXL 2015 Freshmen Class member Tink, born Trinity Home recently took to her Twitter to announce that she will be dropping her new mixtape “Winter’s Diary 3” this month. This will be the third installment of her mixtape series that initially jump-started her career. In 2012, she released her very first mixtape titled “Winter’s Diary” followed by “Winter’s Diary 2: Forever Yours” in 2014. Whether you hate her or love, you’ve definitely heard of her.
Around 2014, Tink caught the eye of Timbaland, who immediately took her under his wing and signed her to his label Mosley Music Group, which is an imprint of Epic Records. An impressed Timbaland stated, “She got it. Like you can’t believe that somebody 19 got it. You know what I’m saying? We don’t see that no more. The last person we saw was like Drake. He’s like the real deal.”
In the past, Tink’s style has consisted of blended R&B and rap styles, so I’m anxious to see what route she chooses this time. She has already made quite a name for herself with her tracks “Around The Clock”, “Ratchet Commandments”, and “Million”, which is a rendition to Aaliyah’s “One In A Million”.
