Tekashi 6ix9ine spent a short stint in jail.
Over the weekend, Tekashi 6ix9ine ran into a bit of trouble with the law. On Sunday, while hanging out in Bed-Stuy, 6ix9ine was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation.
Apparently, 6ix9ine’s SUV was illegally parked in front of a fire hydrant, and when the officer asked to see his license, he discovered that the “Gummo” rapper’s license was suspended. Consequently, Tekashi was taken to the 77th Precinct station house.
Apparently, while in custody, Tekashi reportedly assaulted an officer. A police spokesperson stated the following, “He squeezed the [cop’s] hand, causing pain and swelling.”
Additional charges have since been filed against Tekashi. He was reportedly arraigned in Brooklyn Criminal Court and later released on $25,000 bail. Tekashi has yet to comment on his recent arrest.
