A few months ago, Atlanta rapper T.I. announced that his upcoming 10th studio album would be titled “Traps Open”, however, in a recent interview with MovieWeb he revealed that he has decided to change the name to “The Dime Trap”. He described The Dime Trap as the “unapologetically gangsta” sequel to his “Paperwork” album, and the second installment in a planned trilogy.

The concept of the LP will remain the same, and this time around we can expect to hear T.I. return to the grittier street sound that we all look forward to hearing and have grown accustomed to. The “Blurred Lines” rapper stated, “It’s going to be an extension or a continuation of the vibe from Trap Muzik. I feel like, when you’ve done hits like “Whatever You Like” and “Dead and Gone,” when you do those mainstream kind of “Blurred Lines”-ish kind of records, you don’t go and try to top “Blurred Lines.” You just come to a whole new element, bring it back down and build the process back over again. I’m breaking it all down, back to the element of where my music first began to interest people, and build it all over again.”

T.I. has not yet announced a release date for the LP, but he just wrapped up a role in the movie Ant-Man which was released July 17th.
