After “Straight Outta Compton” hit theaters and became a huge success in the box office, rumors began to swirl that there was a sequel in the works. Tha Dogg Pound veteran Daz Dillinger seemed to confirm the news with TMZ on Friday, even posting a photo to his Instagram reading, “Straight Outta Compton Sequel Planned for… SNOOP, DOGG POUND & TUPAC.”
While the idea of a follow-up movie seems like an awesome plan, it’s not going to happen. A Universal Pictures spokesperson released a statement stating, “At this time there are no plans for a Straight Outta Compton sequel.” Ice Cube likes the sound of a sequel, but has yet to give permission for it. What’s odd about this all is that Dillinger says that Cube gave him “a stamp of approval”

Dillinger also stated the spin-off movie would be titled “Dogg Pound 4 Life”, and would cover the life and careers of Snoop Dogg, Warren G, Nate Dogg, Kurupt, and Tupac.
