It has been quite an unfortunate week for Solange Knowles who had to board flight immediately after being informed that one of her friends had been injured. Armina Mussa, 24, is the director of Solange’s brand and creative platform, Saint Heron, as well as co-owner of New Orleans French Quarter boutique, Exodus Goods. On Wednesday, April 10th, Mussa was stabbed 10 times by Arronesia Christophe, who is friends with Mussa’s roommate.
The incident occurred outside of a mutual friends house. Christophe claims the two got into a physical fight after having a disagreement, resulting in Mussa throwing the first punch. Christophe then revealed she grabbed a small folding knife in self defense and began swinging it around. New Orleans police arrived to the scene at approximately 7:03 p.m. and arrested Christophe. Mussa was rushed to the hospital where she underwent a number of surgeries. As of Friday, Mussa remains in critical condition.
Christophe has been charged with attempted second-degree murder and aggravated assault, and her bail has been set at $50,000.
Knowles has remained by her friends bedside, along with Mussa’s family. The staff here at Inyaearhiphop hopes for a speedy recovery for Mussa.
