Hip Hop legend Snoop Dogg will guest star as Street Dogg in a special half-hour premiere of Nickelodeon’s Sanjay and Craig. In the episode, which will premiere Sunday May 17th, at 7:30 p.m., Snoop Dogg will play a rap icon who moves in next door to Sanjay and Craig. Street Dogg is looking to escape the bright lights of Los Angeles, chill out, make some new music, and enjoy the joys of a quiet suburbia life.
In the special episode, Street Dogg is a cool, funny, friendly guy who is always eager to rhyme with the kids. Sanjay and Craig discover that Dogg was once part of the rap duo Remington Tufflips, the boys’ action movie idols, when they set out to reunite the former pair only to fail.
The show’s creator Jim Dirschberger stated, “Snoop learned the material on the spot — and blew our minds. He owned the material and expanded on dialog and musical numbers. He’s an excellent actor with a great sense of humor. Best of all, he is a kid at heart.”
Snoop Dogg has even written some new tunes for the episode, catch him tomorrow spitting some new lyrics including, “This place feels like a nice change of pace/ See on my block it’s all about cars and gold chains.”
