Every year around Christmas a great number of people are robbed and battered by criminals who are looking for free money and electronics. Unfortunately, DC rapper Shy Glizzy, 23, happened to be a victim after performing at Dream nightclub in Memphis over the weekend. Shy’s chain was snatched by local rappers who had a bone to pick with him. Allegedly, the “Awwsome” rapper was robbed of his chain because he refused to do a song with the up-and-coming rap group.
The crew behind the madness, Memphis Savages, have posted a video on Instagram (that has now gone viral) flaunting Shy’s chain all while stating, “We asked you nicely to do a song, you said get the f*ck out your face.” A member of Memphis Savages, Moto, posted another video on Instagram of him giving out his address while holding a rather large gun. Moto claims he “isn’t hard to find”.
I don’t know if Glizzy is scared or embarrassed, but he has yet to release a statement. Hopefully, Glizzy will get his chain back without anyone getting hurt.
