Rapper Shy Glizzy was arrested in Downtown Silver Springs, Maryland yesterday and footage of the arrest had already made its way online. In the video, the D.C. native is shown being forcibly restrained against the hood of a police car by two police officers while they search his pockets. He is then cuffed and put in the back of a squad car.
The video appears to have been shot by students who are heard shouting “Free Glizzy”. Shy Glizzy was charged with disorderly conduct, failure to obey lawful order, obstructing an officer, riot, and resisting arrest. Glizzy has already posted bail and is home. Glizzy’s manager released a statement saying, “Yes, he good just some dumb sh*t. He is out chilling working on his new EP.”
Details are scarce at this time, but stories are now surfacing claiming Shy Glizzy was picked up by Maryland police at McDonald’s because of a domestic dispute with a woman, who is reported to be his girlfriend. Check back for updates and watch the clips below!
