The Hip Hop world has unfortunately suffered another loss. Boot Camp Clik and Heltah Skeltah member Sean Price, also known as Ruckus or Ruck, has passed away at only 43 years old. The shocking news was confirmed today through a Facebook post from his wife Bernadette stating, “OMFG MY HUSBAND DIED IN HIS SLEEP THIS MORNING”.
Duck Down music label also confirmed the news releasing a statement to The Huffington Post, “It is with beyond a heavy heart that Duck Down Music is sadly confirming that Sean Price passed away early this morning in his Brooklyn apartment, Saturday, August 8th, 2015. The cause of death is currently unknown, but it was reported that he died in his sleep. He’s survived by his wife, and his three children.”
A number of people took to Twitter and Instagram to show their condolences and pay their respect to Price. Alchemist tweeted, “i love you Sean. ill never forget the fun we had. Till we meet again”, while Just Blaze tweeted, “I feel like I just got kicked in the heart. RIP Sean P” and “I can’t believe I even just typed that”.
Price was working on a solo project set to be released August 21.
