Rihanna Is Suing Her Father For Using Fenty Brand Name

Rihanna sues her father, Ronald Fenty.

It appears that Rihanna and her father, Ronald Fenty, have a few kinks in their relationship that they need to work out. TMZ is reporting that Rih Rih is suing her dad, and his company, Fenty Entertainment, for exploiting her name for financial gains.

In court documents obtained by The Blast, Rihanna claims that Ronald and another man, Moses Perkins, have falsely promoted themselves – and have been soliciting business acting as agents of the “Umbrella” singer.

In addition, Rihanna says her father and his partner tried to book her for 15 shows in Latin America in December 2017 for $15 million. Apparently, Rih never gave them any authorization to do so.
Rihanna wants it to be known that she has nothing to do with Fenty Entertainment, “Although Mr. Fenty is Rihanna’s father, he does not have, and never has had, authority to act on Rihanna’s behalf.”

Rihanna has sent numerous cease and desist letters to her father and Perkins, but to no avail – while they continue to profit off of Fenty. She has already trademarked the brand for Fenty Beauty, Savage X Fenty, and Fenty PUMA.

Rihanna is asking the judge for an injunction and damages.
