Shocking news broke yesterday that “Black Dollar” rapper Rick Ross was sued by an unidentified woman who claims she was drugged and raped by Thaddeus “Black” James, a member of Ross’ squad. Although Jane Doe hasn’t named Ross as the assailant, she still wants to hold him accountable, claiming the MMG bawse should have been supervising James. As the serious allegations began making their rounds around the internet, Ross’ fans anxiously waited for him to address the them.

A day later, Ross released a statement to TMZ stating, “It has been brought to my attention that serious allegations have been made against an independent contractor, who’s services I use often. And while I am not directly involved or implicated, as a man and a father, I take this very seriously. I don’t believe any woman’s safety should be compromised and she should never be forced to do anything outside of her will, regardless of the circumstances. While I personally have no knowledge of the specifics surrounding these allegations, it is my hope that this is rectified quickly and with sensitivity.”

When Ross released his 2013 track “U.O.E.N.O.”, he stirred up a lot of controversy because he seemed to be promoting date rape. In the song he rapped, “Put molly all in her champagne/ She ain’t even know it/ I took her home and I enjoyed that/ She ain’t even know it.” Consequently, this caused Ross to lose his deal with Reebok.

Stay tuned for updates.
