Rich The Kid disses Lil Uzi Vert on “Dead Friends.”
With his The World Is Yours album dropping on Friday, Rich The Kid releases the fourth single from the project. Following the release of “New Freezer”, “Early Morning Trappin”, and “Plug Walk”, Rich keeps the momentum going on “Dead Friends.”
The new track premiered today on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show, where the Atlanta rapper also sat down for an interview. When Lowe asked the Atlanta rapper about his references to Lil Uzi Vert on the track, he responded, “I’m just letting them know how money changes people and how I stay with the money. I made this song months before all that shit. So, whatever I thought came to light. You listen to the song and you know what’s going on. Billboard don’t lie. I’m tryna to see if he gon’ reply back, he know he can’t rap better than me though.”
Rich’s beef with Uzi stems back to a nasty Twitter exchange between the two. Back in January, Uzi expressed that he was having trouble with his label, which stemmed Rich The Kid to reach out to him and advise him to join his label. Uzi quickly shot down Rich’s offer, tweeting, “Boy I’m not signing for 20racks.”
