Compton born native YG, 25, was shot at a recording studio called Studio City in Los Angeles early Friday morning. Luckily, YG was only struck in the hip and managed to make it to his car. It was reported that one of YG’s friends drove him to the hospital where he was able to receive medical treatment.
Police found multiple shell casings and blood on the sidewalk at the scene, but when they went to interview YG at the hospital he was allegedly “very uncooperative”. So far there have been no arrests made. The good news is the West Coast rapper is doing fine and expected to make a full recovery.
YG is reportedly a member of the Compton-based Westside Tree Top Piru Blood gang. It is unknown if the shooting was gang related, but an investigation is underway. Well wishes and a speedy recovery to YG!
