Rapper Chinx Drugz, born Lionel Pickens, 31, was shot and killed at approximately 5:00 a.m. this morning in Jamaica, Queens. Police responded to a 911 call at Queens Boulevard and 84th Road where they found two victims. The Coke Boys rapper had been shot multiple times in the torso, and died from his sustained injuries. The other victim, a 27 year old man who was shot in the back. He was transported to Jamaica Medical Center where he remains listed in critical condition.
Police said the victims were driving a Porsche Panamera westbound on Queens Boulevard when a second vehicle pulled up to them at 84th Road, a gunman from the second vehicle fired multiple rounds inside the first car, striking the driver and the other person.
Investigators are currently on the scene looking for any clues that can lead to the shooter.
Chinx was rumored to be dating Khloe Kardashian’s best friend, Malika Haqq.
Chinx Drugz management company released a statement saying, “It is with a heavy heart that The Legion Media Group and 4 Kings Management announce the passing of Lionel “Chinx” Pickens.” We send our condolences to Chinx’ family.
