The summertime brings some of the best concerts, festivals, and musical events that the industry has to offer. Who doesn’t want to grab a cold drink and watch their favorite artist turn up on stage? Well I’m here to announce that Calgary, Canada will be hosting it’s first annual “One Love Hip Hop Festival” on September 5th.
The outdoor event will be held at Shaw Millenium Park, and will feature some of the hottest artists including J. Cole, Wale, Travi$ Scott, Machine Gun Kelly, Nas, and Raekwon. The organizer of the event, Faizel Dhalla, admits that it was important to choose artists that didn’t have “gangster, violent elements” associated with their career.
Dhalla stated, “This is a festival, that if you’re a parent and you have a 16 year old kid, you’ll feel comfortable sending them because it’s a good, positive vibe.” Dhalla is the owner of promo company Two Towers. Dhalla plans on turning this event into an annual one.
Tickets will go on sale May 29th, and the prices range from $79.95 to $129.95.
