After the shooting at Irving Plaza took place, reports surfaced claiming that incident was sparked by a fight between Maino’s and Troy Ave’s crew. With Troy behind bars, Maino spoke out and revealed that he doesn’t have any problems with the “Doo Doo” rapper, and he nor anyone associated with him played a role in the incident. However, if authorities felt otherwise, there’s always the possibility that Maino could be charged.

Fortunately for Maino, the NYPD found no evidence linking him to shooting, so they have cleared his name from the investigation. NYPD Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce released the following statement on Thursday, “We do not believe that he (Maino) was involved in the dispute.” Maino took to his Instagram to rejoice and breathe a sigh of relief writing, “Now let’s get back to the music… HeardU.”

Yesterday, Troy’s lawyer, Scott Leemon, asked the public to send an email to TroyAveInfo@LeemonLaw.com with any information or tips that they had regarding the shooting. Leemon stated, “We’re going to ask anyone who was there, anyone who has any information or anyone who knows someone who was in that VIP room that night — we have set up a special e-mail address. We know some people have problems talking to and working with NYPD — help us. Help me defend Troy.”
