Can y’all please let Nicki Minaj’s wax figure breathe? Geesh! A few weeks ago Nicki Minaj was honored with her own wax figure at Madame Tussaud’s wax museum in Las Vegas. The figure shows Minaj atop a table on her hands and knees dressed in sexy apparel from her “Anaconda” video. The suggestive pose seemed to lure a few museum patrons into taking some inappropriate photos next to the curvy, lifelike figure.
This enraged Madame Tussaud, who released a lengthy statement addressing the issue: “We have been made aware of the inappropriate photograph that was taken at Madame Tussuad’s Las Vegas, involving Nicki Minaj’s new wax figure. Madame Tussuad’s attractions are interactive, immersive experiences and our visitors are generally respectful towards the wax figures. It is unfortunate that this visitor decided to behave so inappropriately and we apologise for any offence this has caused.
We do have staff monitoring guest behaviour in the attraction and do our utmost to ensure our wax figures are treated respectfully, but on this occasion clearly one of our hosts was not present. We are taking immediate steps to ensure more staff are present in this area and that the set around this particular figure is redesigned so that a picture like this cannot be taken again.”
Of course Azealia Banks had to throw in her two cents tweeting, “All ppl are gonna do is go up to that statue and take pictures shoving their crotch in her face and putting their crotch on her butt.” In this case, Banks may have a point. One fan seemed to feel the same way tweeting, “Now I understand what @AZEALIABANKS was talking about. When I look at this I feel so disgusted.”
