Hip Hop artist Nicki Minaj was scheduled to perform at 7 p.m. at Wireless Festival at Finsbury Park in North London on Sunday. Unfortunately, the “Truffle Butter” rapper arrived 2 hours late for her performance which enraged many people. This caused some of her fans to leave the performance and even demand a refund for the $68.75 they paid for their ticket.
Organizers also began to panic because it would cost them thousands of dollars if Nicki was a no-show. While everyone continued waiting for the queen to arrive, a message flashed on the screen reading, “Special announcement: we are told that she was due to be speeding down the M1 from Luton Airport as we speak but we have lost contact with her, we are hoping that she will be here soon.”
Organizers also announced that Nic would be joining David Guetta during his headline set at 8:30, little did fans know that Nicki would also be late for that too. Finally she arrived at 8:40 and hit the stage where she immediately addressed her fans stating, “Our plane couldn’t get out because of the weather but I want to tell you how much I f***ing love y’all. I want to tell you how much I appreciate you guys for showing up from day one. I want to tell you how much I appreciate you guys for showing Young Money love from day one.”
