Nicki Minaj stars in a new commercial for Mercedes Benz.
Nicki Minaj may have taken a brief hiatus from social media, but behind the scenes she’s been quite busy. Last night, the “Only” rapper unexpected popped up on Instagram in a new Mercedes-Benz commercial.
In the new ad, a woman is seen driving her A-class vehicle while interacting with the audio system. After she says, “Hey Mercedes, play me some hip-hop”, Minaj suddenly pops up in the passenger’s seat, winks at the driver, snaps her fingers, and bops her head to the music. As the driver takes a sharp turn around a corner, Nicki commends the driver, “Yikes! You did that.”
The new commercial promotes Tidal’s new partnership with Mercedes-Benz. According to the fine print, Tidal will be installed in every Mercedes Benz by the end of the year. In addition, the streaming service will be free of charge to customers for the first 12 months.
