Today, MTV’s video music awards nominations were revealed, and let’s just say Nicki Minaj isn’t happy with the results. Although the female emcee was nominated for 3 different categories including Best Female Video and Best Hip Hop Video for “Anaconda”, as well as Best Collaboration for “Bang, Bang” with Jessie J and Ariana Grande, she still felt that she was snubbed. Nic had a hard accepting the fact that “Anaconda” wasn’t nominated for Video Of The Year and Best Choreography, but was even more bothered that her and Beyonce’s song “Feeling Myself” failed to receive any nominations.
It’s no secret that when “Anaconda” made it’s debut it was unlike anything we had ever scene before and was a breathe of fresh air. Anaconda set a Vevo record for most views in 24 hours with 19.8 million, not to mention her killer BET performance, and the fact that the song went platinum. But was that enough for Nicki to rake in a nomination for Video Of The Year?
