Congratulations are in order for Nelly!

Sixteen years after its release, Nelly’s debut album, Country Grammar, has become the eighth Hip Hop album to become certified diamond (10 million records sold) by the RIAA. On Monday night, the RIAA presented the 41 year old “Air Force Ones” rapper with a diamond plaque at a Musicians On Call event in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The seven other diamond selling albums include 2Pac’s “All Eyez On Me”, 2Pac’s “Greatest Hits”, Eminem’s “The Eminem Show”, Eminem’s “The Marshall Mathers LP”, Outkast’ “Speakerboxxx/The Love Below”, The Notorious B.I.G.’s “Life After Death”, and MC Hammer’s “Please Hammer, Don’t Hurt ‘Em”.

In it’s first week, Country Grammar sold 235,000 copies. The 17 track project featured guest appearances from Cedric The Entertainer, St. Lunatics, City Spud, Murphy Lee, Ali, Lil Wayne, and The Teamsters. Hit tracks off of the album include “Country Grammar”, “E.I.”, “Ride Wit Me”, and “Batter Up”.

After receiving his plaque, Nelly took to Instagram to celebrate his accomplishment. Check out his post below!
