Veteran Queensbridge rapper Nas recently held a concert for fans at a Orlando’s Vain Nightclub in Orlando, Florida where he announced that he’s putting the finishing touches on a new album set for release this summer. During the announcement the One Mic rapper also offered a bit of advice stating, “Right mothafunkin’ now, death to all snitches. Watch every niggas around you my niggas ‘cuz sh*t is real out here. 2015, new album this summer.”
The album will be released through Def Jam, not his label Mass Appeal. So far there has been no announcement on a release date, title, or first single. This will be Nas’ first studio album since his 2012 Life Is Good.
Although Mr. Jones isn’t giving away many details regarding his upcoming album, his fans will be happy to know he has a documentary in the works as well. Nas will act as executive producer of his new dance documentary Shake The Dust, which will be available for purchase May 19 on iTunes. The documentary follows young children and teens from places like Yemen to Uganda to show the cultural impact of break dancing.
