Poor Meek can’t catch a break this year. After spending a great portion of the summer taking L’s from his beef with Drake, the Philadelphia rapper threw in the towel and decided to get back on track and focus on his music. Unfortunately, that may come to an end soon.
Meek is due in court today, and could possibly be facing more jail time for violating his probation. Meek could have his probation revoked after taking a trip outside of Philadelphia and failing to obtain and complete a travel request form to leave his hometown. Most likely Meek failed to do so while attending the American Music Awards in Los Angeles, California on November 22.
It’s unknown how much time the “Lord Knows” emcee could be facing, however, he hopped on Instagram and asked his fans to pray for him writing, “I’m actually fighting for my life and freedom … Something I’ve been going thru from a case I caught at 19 years old and been on probation since… I am 28 now … It’s funny to see people on the internet laughing and joking about me and my family going thru these things, it’s just shows me where the world is at nowadays! But if you are for me prayers up and wish me the best!”
This isn’t Meek Mill’s first run in with the law In 2014, he was sentenced to three to six months behind bars for a violation of his parole stemming from an 2009 gun and drug charge.
