Just one week into his house arrest, and Philly rapper Meek Mill is already appealing the sentence. Meek was sentenced to 90 days of house arrest after violating his probation, and one of the stipulations is that he is barred from recording and releasing new music. However, Meek has a recording studio in his home and is itching to create new material. According to reports, Meek doesn’t have any problems with the length of his sentence.

Meek’s attorney, Joe Tacopina, filed an appeal asking the judge to allow him to record music. Ninety days is a long time to sit tight, but hopefully Meek’s fans can do so if the judge does deny the appeal. MMG rappers Rick Ross and Gunplay took advantage of their situation and recorded new tunes while under house arrest, so hopefully Meek will be granted the same opportunity.

Stayed tuned for updates!
