A 25 year old man was shot and killed outside of the Theater of the Living Arts shortly before Lil Durk was set to hit the stage. The incident occured at approximately 8:20 p.m. after a loud argument and scuffle took place outside of the popular venue. Witnesses reportedly heard three gunshots rang out before spotting the victim on the ground bleeding. The unidentified man suffered a wound to the abdomen, and was rushed to Hahnemann University Hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

The suspected gunman, who was seen wearing a black “OTF” t-shirt, attempted to flee the scene in a limousine before being pulled over by police on Christopher Columbus Boulevard. Three men were taken into custody for questioning. A possible murder weapon, a semiautomatic handgun, and shell casings have been recovered in the wheel well of a car parked near the scene. The show, which featured Hypno Carlito and Gunplay as opening acts was cancelled.

Durk’s tour bus was also struck during the incident. Shots were fired through the windshield, but luckily no one was injured. In it unclear at this time if Durk was an intended target. He has yet to release a statement addressing the matter although he has clearly made a number of unrelated tweets and posts on Instagram and Twitter.

Durk is scheduled to perform at Mr. Smalls Theatre in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania today.
