Lovers & Friends Festival is confirmed and tickets have already sold out.
The internet was sent into a virtual frenzy this week once news surfaced surrounding Goldenvoice‘s Lovers & Friends Festival and some of the listed performers initially denounced being in attendance.
Confusion ran amok amongst patrons regarding the festival’s authenticity in lieu of Lil Kim and Mase‘s public reneging on their commitment to perform, which later resulted in Goldenvoice asserting the event’s legitimacy with saying, “Our festival is 100% confirmed. Lineups are always subject to change.” via Variety.
The two-day festival is set to invade Dignity Health Sports Park in Los Angeles, California on Friday May 8 and Saturday May 9, featuring performances from the likes of Ms. Lauryn Hill, Usher, Jhené Aiko, Ja Rule, Megan Thee Stallion and many more famed pillars of the culture. With the range of era-defying talents that warrant acute nostalgia for a more simpler time, Lovers & Friends festival is poised to revisit the dawn of a intrusive late 90’s, early 2000’s soundscape while simultaneously catering to today’s young adult cohort.
