Tha Carter V is almost here.
After a number of setbacks and bumps in the road, Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter V album will finally arrive this week. Via Instagram, Weezy cleared up all the confusion regarding the release date of his twelfth studio album, and revealed that the C5 will drop on September 27, which also happens to be his birthday.
In a series of clips, Lil Wayne made the exciting announcement, “I heard there was a misunderstanding about the release date of the C5. I heard y’all got mixed up and thought it was gonna get released like last week or something.”
“Well, I would like for you to know that since y’all stuck with me and hung in there anyway for like the past four or five years through all of this but uh on my birthday, I actually have something special. I will be releasing Tha Carter V on my birthday.”
“I always give y’all all of me, but with this album, I’m giving you more than me. You gotta always remember that this is years of work. This is four, five, six years of work that you’ll be listening to. I hope you enjoy it. You don’t have to love it, you don’t even have to like it, just hope you enjoy it.”
