Lil Poopy has signed to Epic Records.
At only 13 years old, Lil Poopy, born Luis Rivera Jr, has signed a 4 year deal with Epic Records. Poopy’s deal was written in ink alongside his manager, Devon Sydney, and godfather Luis Andrade.
The young emcee first rose to fame as a member of French Montana’s Coke Boys with his 2012 mixtape, “Coke Ain’t A Bad Word”. Many people were outraged that a 9 year old child was rapping about everything from drugs, to sex and cars. Subsequently, a child abuse investigation was launched against his father, Luis Rivera.
Most recently, Poopy appeared on Lifetime reality show “The Rap Game”, which documented Jermaine Dupri looking for the next young rap star. Poopy stated, “All of the older people – older friends – always underestimated me. They like me now. … I just want them to know that I’m coming for the top. They better be ready.”
Sydney is confident that he will be a great addition to the music industry, stating, “When I look at other people of equal age, I can’t imagine seeing them standing on stages as he has been on so comfortably. He likes music. He likes doing what he’s doing… His career is going to be fine as long as he wants to do it.”
