Lil Poopy is not the latest signee to Epic Records.
Less than a week ago, stories surfaced claiming that Lil Poopy had inked a deal with Epic Records. According to Laura Swanson, executive vice president of media and strategic development for Epic Records, the 13 year old rapper did not land a deal with the label.
Epic Records CEO, L.A. Reid, caused quite a stir when he quoted the following Meghan Trainor lyrics in a tweet, “My name is NO, MY sign is NO, My answer is NO, Not signed here baby!#NotEpic.” Soon everyone began suggesting that Trainor had been dropped from the label, so Reid tweeted, “No, this is absolutely not about @Meghan_Trainor!”
A rep for Lil Poopy has yet to release a statement.
