Lil Baby premieres official music video for ‘Catch The Sun’ – a song from the Queen & Slim soundtrack album released by Motown Records.

The Cam Busby directed project encapsulates the very essence of the on-the-run love story depicted in the referenced Queen & Slim movie.

Championed with a convincing “If we take off now we can catch the sun” remark that refutes any conventional rationale, this latest visual finds the GRAMMY-nominated artist on the brink of evading law enforcement alongside his enamored confidant. The record also touches on the harsh reality of racial profiling and other discriminatory measures that minorities are undoubtedly subjected to – while the accompanying video embodies the thought-provoking existence of a love story suffused with life-altering violence, reflecting the same discontent expressed in Queen & Slim.

Music played an integral role in serving as an additional voice in Queen & Slim, demonstrating the extent of creativity that exist amongst black voices and compelling genres.

The 16-song soundtrack (Queen & Slim: The Soundtrack), which was nominated for a NAACP Image Award, channels guest features from the likes of Ms. Lauryn Hill, Megan Thee Stallion, 6lack, BJ The Chicago Kid and Lil Baby to name a few.

Lil Baby’s latest offering candidly reflects on adolescence, romance and what other characteristics have contributed to his existence as not only an artist, but also as a black man.
