Earlier this week, R&B singer Kehlani attempted to commit suicide, and oddly enough, Kyrie Irving remained silent throughout the entire ordeal. But last night, the 24 year old Cleveland Cavaliers point guard broke his silence and took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the unfortunate situation.
In a series of tweets (that have since been deleted), Irving opened up and addressed the alleged rumors writing, “It’s been hard to see what’s been going on and not address the truth. I do not justify the picture or what dude did to try and spark all. Of this non sense that could have been avoided, but Me and Kehlani were not dating when the picture came out. It’s unfortunate that it’s received so much attention but its become bigger because of a post that was misunderstood. Nothing but love and compassion over this way for her and her family. My only focus the Game I love to play every night.”
Despite all the messiness, Irving decided to take the high road and wish his ex-girlfriend the best unlike his supposed friend, Chris Brown. On Tuesday, refusing to consider Kehlani’s feelings, Brown attacked her via Twitter writing, “Girls be mad at a n*gga for f*cking around wit b*tches but her DMs got more names then the Declaration of Independence. #YEAHIMTHROWINGSHADE. There is no attempting suicide. Stop flexing for the gram. Doing sh*t for sympathy so them comments under your pics don’t look so bad. They look like they have stank sex!!!! #KYRIEMVP. OK IM DONE. Guess she gone have to watch the games from a real “box” now. “THE TELEVISION” #OHB “OUTTA HERE BIH”.”
Deciding that he wasn’t quite finished with his rant, Brown concluded with, “I’ll be the BIGGEST PIECE OF 💩. But ima ride for my Homies regardless. KYRIE is probably one of the only good guys left. IDGAF!!!”.
Since being hospitalized, JoJo, K.Michelle, Erica Campbell, and Questlove have all shown their support for the 20 year old star. Nick Cannon even visited her in the hospital to offer love and support. Kehlani says she is currently at home, healthy, and surrounded by people who love her.
