Kodak Black’s legal issues are barely over.

On Monday, Kodak Black was released from St. Lucie County Jail in Florida, but he’s hardly a free man. Instead of heading home to his family and friends, the 19 year old “Project Baby” rapper was extradited to Florence, South Carolina where he will face a pending sexual battery charge. On November 21, a judge approved the extradition transfer.

Bryan Beaty, head of the Public Office of Information at the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office stated the following, “It does say that he has been turned over to South Carolina via the Florence County Sheriff’s Office.”

In September, Kodak was sentenced to 120 days in jail after he pled no contest to two misdemeanor drug charges. A month prior to that, Kodak was set to be released from Broward County Jail after being arrested in May for open warrants. However, during the process of being released, authorities discovered two active arrest warrants.

Attorney Gary Kollin told the Sun-Sentinel, “We are firmly convinced that he will be vindicated in that charge and shortly be set free. He’s looking forward to getting to South Carolina so he can go on with his life and career.”
