Kid Cudi has been working on new music and more.
Jaden Smith and Cudi stans were introduced to ‘Leader of the Delinquents’ last Friday via livestream. Shortly after making the announcement about getting on Live via Twitter, thousands tuned in as The Lonely Stoner freed his mind over assisted production by Woodro Skillson and longtime collaborator Dot da Genius – the mastermind behind Kid Cudi’s five-times platinum certified hit ‘Day ‘N’ Nite’.
‘I thought it would be perfect for right now and um… I just felt like putting something out in the world and giving you guys something to relax to, to vibe to’ said Cudi via IG Live.
Previewing new music via Instagram has become a favorite pastime for the Ohio native as of late. Earlier this month, Cudder teased another single in the form of a snippet via livestream – and the rumors centered around his long-awaited LP resurfaced with no delay.
Interestingly enough, the rumors bare truth, Cudi is working on his seventh studio album titled Entergalactic – but that’s not all. The rollout for the project will feature an adult animated series set to air on Netflix, executive produced by Black-ish creator Kenya Barris.
“It’s the craziest thing in terms of TV. It’s the most ambitious thing. It also shows who he is as an artist…we started talking and he’s a huge fan of animation and that notion of animation lasts forever“, says Barris via Hypebeast.
With each episode of the series featuring an accompanying single, it’s evident Cudder’s resurgence in music will supersede the span of mere streams.
The Netflix series will profile a young man on the verge of discovering love – what better way to champion interpersonal affection than with Kid Cudi’s soul-bearing hums.
