Kevin Gates goes bald to support a cancer patient.
Kevin Gates is usually under attack on social media for obnoxious things that he says or does. But this week, Gates is proving that he does have a heart, and can actually do something positive to affect someone’s life.
Via Instagram, the 30 year old “Islah” rapper revealed that he decided to shave his head bald, but not just for a new music or movie role. Gates was looking to support a youth cancer patient in the Make-A-Wish Foundation who was being teased for his baldness after undergoing chemotherapy.
In a clip posted onto Instagram, Gates stated, “This why I did this. You know my hair grow back so fast. My little partner, he in the Make-A-Wish Foundation. He said they be teasing him cause he got a bald head. Now I got a bald head, too. So when they tease you they tease me.
He got cancer though. Ima get Dreka to send this to his family. They’re gonna love it. Shout out to the Make-A-Wish foundation. I love you all. I don’t care what nobody say about me though. I pray for y’all all the time. Sometimes you gotta live for a cause greater than yourself. Make-A-Wish, I love y’all.”
