As the now record-breaking Marvel Studios film “Black Panther” makes its way to theaters this Friday. The stacked motion picture soundtrack curated by Kendrick Lamar delivers the first music video from the film with the popular single, “All The Stars” featuring SZA.
In the video, inspired by the film, Kendrick is on an appointed journey to take the throne but must first embark on a quest to earn the right to lead by ancestors. SZA plays in the stars as she sings the chorus and is adored by her dancing servants. Dark, Impactful, and brilliant direction by Dave Meyers & the little homies. “Video of the Year” nominee for sure.
Including “All the Stars”, the soundtrack is slated to feature fellow TDE roster mates Ab-Soul, Jay Rock, and Schoolboy Q. As well as today’s hottest new West Coast recording artists like Vince Staples, SOB x RBE, Anderson .Paak. Adding to the star power on the rest of the soundtrack is Future, Khalid, The Weekend, Swae Lee, James Blake, and Travis Scott.
Along with Black Panther, Kendrick Lamar is also slated to handle the score for the second season of Marvel’s hit Netflix series, Luke Cage. The Netflix series just wrapped shooting last month and will be airing the second season right before Summertime.
