Kendrick Lamar Honored As “Generational Icon” On California State Senate Floor (Video)

Being one of the most talked about emcee’s in the industry is every kids dream. When you reach a high success as 27 year old Kendrick Lamar anythings possible. Not only is he one of the top artist in the game, he also donates and helps children in the city of Compton. Yesterday, California State Senator Isadore Hall III honored Lamar and presented him with the 35th Senate District’s Generational Icon Award on the California State’s Senate floor.

While presenting the award, Hall stated “In less than 10 years as a professional artist, Mr. Lamar has gone from a local Compton young boy to become a multiplatinum, Billboard chart–topping, two-time Grammy Award–winning musician, an incredible achievement for anyone 27 years old
