Last night, “Dark Horse” rapper Juicy J, 40, was rushed to Saint Francis Memorial Hospital in San Francisco for exhaustion and shortness of breathe. The incident occurred before the Tennessee native could perform for his scheduled show at The Filmore in support of his “The Hustle Continues” tour.
J was only four days into his 25 date tour which will pass through Chicago, New York, Atlanta and Miami throughout this month and June. Unfortunately, this isn’t the stars first health scare. The rapper had ankle surgery this month, and performed with an injured leg in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Palladium on Friday evening.
A few hours after being hospitalized, Juicy J took to his Twitter account to announce, “I wanna apologize to my fans in San Fran I had to rush to the hospital. I’m having shortness of breath I love you all pray for me.” He also posted a photo of himself from his hospital bed on his Instagram page with the caption, “The Dr said I’m Exhausted I haven’t been getting enough rest but I’ll be ok San Fran my Apologies i will make it up #THCTOUR still going strong.”
Juicy J also uploaded a photo to his Instagram today that says he is much better, and the show will go on tonight.
