Bobby Shmurda has been in jail a little over a year, unfortunately, the rapper isn’t any closer to freedom than he was when was initially arrested. Not only has his bail package been denied seven times, but the judge also refuses to lower Shmurda’s $2 million bail. If that was disappointing enough, Shmurda has hit yet another bump in the road.

Judge Abraham Clott, who took on the case after Judge James Burke left in January, has decided to separate the cases between Shmurda and the other members of his GS9 squad who were arrested back in December 2014 on numerous weapon and gun charges.

Ultimately, Shmurda’s trial was set for February 22, but now the date has been reserved for Rashid “Rasha” Derrisant and Alex “A-Rod” Crandon. Shmurda and Rowdy Rebel, born Chad Marshall, will appear in court together on May 11 with Santino Boderick (a.k.a Cueno) and Nicolas McCoy who goes by the name “Montana Flea”.

Shmurda is being charged with conspiracy to commit murder in the second degree, reckless endangerment, two counts of criminal possession of a weapon and one count of criminally using drug paraphernalia.
