by Yellah Bone

Chilombo is on the way!

It’s been quite some time since Jhené Aiko dropped a project, but the wait is almost over!

On Friday, Aiko announced that her Chilombo album will arrive March 6. Chilombo, which serves as her third studio album, as well as the followup to 2017’s Trip, was derived from the singer’s real name – Jhené Aiko Efuru Chilombo. (Chilombo means wild beast).

According to a press release, Chilombo celebrates Aiko “coming into her own personal power.” It also consists of freestyles that took place on The Big Island of Hawaii where Jhené’s great grandmother was born.

Leading up to Chilombo’s release, Jhené has already shared loosies “Triggered”, “None Of Your Concern”, and “P*$$y Fairy (OTW).”
