I think about dying every day
I’ve been told that that’s a little strange, yeah
But I guess I’ve always been a little strange – Saint Nobody/ Track 1
She initially released her kiddo EP back in 2017. This past Friday, Jessie dropped her new EP, Being Human In Public. She has not disappoint anyone with this release. With tracks like Saint Nobody, Dear Yessie and the publicly loved hit Body Count remix featuring Normani and Kehlani, Jessie has undoubtedly made a continuous staple with her sound. Its unique and its one of those albums that puts her on the highest of ranks as an up and comer in the music industry. In addition over here are my top 3 songs from the EP:
Saint Nobody
With detailing of overlooking in her life so far with the track saint nobody, Jessie portrays the world in how she sees it and nothing else. Wearing war paint on her face. She’s prepared to confront any challenge and perform it her absolute all. That’s all we could do in this world. In the end it undoubtedly is about how you make it to your destination in your journey.
Apple Juice
A classic song about the moral shortcomings of a former significant other. It speaks volumes on its on because its considered not just another song about experiencing heartbreak. In a way the song is additionally about releasing and accepting. That genuine feeling of naturally wanting to feel happiness and genuine love in a desired relationship. The ultimate reality is typically, desired relationships are hard work. When it ends, you have to be willing to breathe and pick yourself back up.
Dear Yessie
Impermeable, unbothered, sick, allergic to the con artist
You fake woke, you an imposter
Only real ones up in my roster – Dear Yessie/Track 5
